Palms create breathtaking focal points. You can get so much diversity with palms as there are so many specimen varieties and sizes to choose from. Pictured is a Triangle Palm. They are unique with their three sided blue-green fronds and soft beautiful colored velvet trunk. The customer wanted us to put 4 ft. BTH Triangle’s weighing in at 500 pounds, into large pots! With our Telehandler the job was completed leaving behind an amazing focal point and a happy customer.

Those palm fronds span 9 feet across creating a breathtaking photo with the blue sky in the background.  It definitely looks happy!

Who ever said Queen Palms aka Syagrus Romanzoffiana, are not spectacular has not seen them in their glory. The palms they have seen probably came from Florida and do not do well here! Those Florida Queens typically are yellowed and thinner. 

California Queen Palms are gorgeous with full feathery fronds and strong trunks! Check it out here at this huge Italian Villa called Villa Forano in Temescal Valley. We put these palms in years ago and they still are as breathtakingly beautiful today as when they were when they were first installed.

Queen palms? They are the royalty of the palm species. Queen Palms? They are drought resistant.

This installation will take several weeks to complete due to the large complex design. Canary Island Date Palms are a large majestic palm, with a very solid trunk, and long feather leaves with spined petioles. Quite a popular plant due to its hardiness, attractiveness and speed of growth. Very good for adding a Mediterranean feel. Canary Island Date Palms have a single, wide heavy trunk with characteristic leaf diamonds on the trunk. dark brown. These trees are tolerant of most well drained soils and require moderate amounts of water for proper growth. They will survive in full sun, wind, heat, aridity and cold. Canary Island Date Palms have a slow to moderate growth rate and can reach over 60' in height with a 30 - 50' spread. Sometimes, Canary Palm owners prefer to have the more natural trunk design rather than the trimmed or skinned trunk design. 

The problem is, after a time, the fronds fall off and the trunks will look spotted or junky. SEE BELOW

Here, you can see that if you wait long enough, the fronds simply pull off! It's okay for a while, but then moisture and bugs could get in and damage the tree.
