A King Palm is a widely adaptable palm that adds stately accent to any landscape. This popular, elegant, and fast-growing palm from southern and eastern Australia has grass green leaves, a slim trunk, and a long, smooth crownshaft. Sometimes, Canary Palm owners prefer to have the more natural trunk design rather than the trimmed or skinned trunk design. The problem is, after time the fronds will fall off and the trunks look spotted or junky. Here, you can see that if you wait long enough, the fronds simply pull off! All of our Triangle Palms are field grown in the rich, fertile soil of the Pauma Valley in Northern San Diego County at the base of Mt. Palomar. The Pauma Valley farm is our largest growing location of palms, and these palms can weather conditions down to 20 degrees and handle snow from Mt. Palomar a few weeks out of the year.

With these varying temperatures, we can supply cold, hardy palm trees to the Northwestern and Southeast states.

Mexican Fan Palms soar to over 100 ft this skyscraper of the palm world is a striking sight when planted at equal intervals along a boulevard or when snuggled up in groups against high rise buildings. Use the Mexican Fan Palm for formal groupings, street plantings, and groves in large open areas - these are the palms planted along Venice Beach and other California beaches. Young plants can be grown in containers and give a tropical look to patios and decks. Mexican Fan Palm characteristics are long and slender, single trunk, wider at base. Dead fronds persist to form a 'skirt' They can handle exposure from full sun, wind, heat, and cold hardy down to approximately −10 °C (14°F).

Mexican Fan Palms have low water needs and can grow in just about any type of soil. They have a fast growth rate and can often reach 60' - 100' in height.

The Cycas Revoluta, or commonly known as the Sago Palm, is a wonderful plant for both indoor and outdoor use. It looks great in the shrub border or as an accent on an expanse of lawn or near the patio. Use in entryways or in rock and sand gardens. It mixes well with palms and combines well with border grass, podocarpus and camellias. The Sago Palm makes an excellent container plant for use outdoors and in the home. The Sago Palm tall trunk on older specimens, grows 8-10in diameter. It is more fern-like when small and produces offsets at base. It grows in full sun or partial shade and require a well prepared, non-alkaline soil with good drainage. Once established, the Sago Palm is fairly drought tolerant, but still requires regular watering. The Sago Palm is a slow growing palm with up to 10 ft fronds spread 3-6 ft. Gregory Palm Farms makes house calls because often times, the customer needs more assistance and clarity while we need to see access before the final details of the purchase is made. 

For example, we went to La Mesa's job and found the only efficient and safe way to install 6 Date Palms was up and over the house. That feature added about $2,500.00 to the purchase.

This situation is not the same! 

At La Mesa, the desired location is in the front yard  The planters are completed however with minimum cement curbing. And lasting, we are making sure the area is large enough to accommodate the palms of their choice and that is essential. They are and we will be install in a week! 

What to do now? First, We Call  DigAlert to make sure to hidden pipes we don't know about!

Next, We are prepping the palms, Medjool Dates and Triangle Palms, for delivery and installation.
