Gregory Palm Farms was recently awarded the contract to upgrade this historical house in Pasadena.

So, we got to work, quick fast like!

First,  we removed a large pine tree in the front yard. All that debris! wow!!  We  replaced it with a beautiful, mature Canary Island Date Palm Tree. We then added some Kentia Palms and Sagos to the front of the house. Lastly,  we finished it off with Fan Palms and Triangle Palms in the backyard.

Kentia Palms, one of the most elegant of the palms. Perfect for Southern California. Can adapt to full sun or be grown in partial sun. Great when grouped as two to five plants. A very graceful, solitary, medium sized palm, with a dark green ringed trunk, to about 10m tall. It has beautifully drooping, dark green leaflets, and a brown hessian like thatch around the leaf bases. Kentia Palm Characteristics Stem/Trunk: The trunk is swollen at the base and has slightly raised annular trunk rings. Exposure: Grow best in 35%-80% of full sunlight, tolerating direct sun only after about five years old. Soil: Rich loamy soil with excellent drainage Water: Moderately drought tolerant, and should be watered before the soil completely dries. Growth Rate: Slow growth 40'- 60' height

Gregory Palm Farms was recently awarded the contract to deliver and install 190+ palm trees
to the new Windset Farms greenhouse in Santa Maria, CA. This was a a Super-Sized job that had to be done in 2 weeks. Gregory Palms stepped up and completed the job in 10 days.

Windset Farms primary goal when building these new facilities was to use the latest technology
to reduce their environmental footprint and leverage sustainability options that didn't exist even
five years ago.

Gregory Palm Farms was proud to be part of that effort in providing USDA inspected and certified palm trees for this job that consisted of Windmill Palms, Mexican Fan Palms, Pygmy Date Palms, Mediterranean Fan Palms and Phoenix Dactylifera's.

The Cycas Revoluta, or commonly known as the Sago Palm, is a wonderful plant for both indoor and outdoor use. It looks great in the shrub border or as an accent on an expanse of lawn or near the patio. Use in entryways or in rock and sand gardens. It mixes well with palms and combines well with border grass, podocarpus and camellias. The Sago Palm makes an excellent container plant for use outdoors and in the home. The Sago Palm tall trunk on older specimens, grows 8-10in diameter. It is more fern-like when small and produces offsets at base. It grows in full sun or partial shade and require a well prepared, non-alkaline soil with good drainage. Once established, the Sago Palm is fairly drought tolerant, but still requires regular watering. The Sago Palm is a slow growing palm with up to 10 ft fronds spread 3-6 ft. We have many sizes of Sago Palms from single trunk to multi-trunks specimens.
