Gregory Palms Installs PALMS at Newport Coast Community - GREGORY PALM FARMS (714)814-8525 - open daily for all your palm tree needs

Gregory Palm Farms was chosen as the contractor to install several large King Palms, Queen Palms and Canary Island Date Palms for a residential homeowner at Newport Coast, also known as the "Pacific Riviera". The 7,700 acre Newport Coast community is at the eastern edge of Newport Beach.

Gregory Palm Farms has installed many palms trees in this prestigious, world-class community which encompasses the South Orange County coast between Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach.

Newport Coast features panoramic neighborhoods from the coastal canyons to the Pacific Ocean.

Due to the size of the trees and the areas where installed, large cranes are needed to lift the trees up and over the residence to the installation location.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF THIS CANARY PALM TREE? IF YOU LIKE CANARY PALMS, YOU GOTTA KNOW! by Gregory Palm Farms (714) 814-8525/949)610-6624 OPEN DAILY - THE CANARY PALM DEPOT- ALL SIZES FOR YOUR BUDGET

Hi!

If you are like me, when I see a giant Canary Island Date Palms towering over parking lots and accenting homes throughout California and often wonder, what does something like weigh?

We have spectacular Canary Palms and other palms
I know you have a busy life and the weight of a palm tree might not be the first question you have in the morning. However, if you see these magnificent trees in person, I am sure that question might be there somewhere.

I asked the man that knows it all... Kevin. This Canary (that I named Ralph) weighs 16,000 pounds... it's a 16 footer so basically a 1,000 pounds a foot.

WHY IS THIS EVEN IMPORTANT? Who ever is working with a giant Canary Palm, the weight is important! What equipment is needed? What is the reach for installation? How the reach and weight calibrates the size crane... and more.

A thousand pounds a foot is a smart calculation for any Canary Island Date Palm. Refer to this calculation when considering the location of one of these magnificent trees! CRANE IS A MUST.

I was at a customer's home in Tustin that had a huge Canary Island Palm Tree. The tree was growing on the property line between two homes. One of the neighbors hated it, the other was in love. They asked us to come out and help them with a solution. The customer noted that  another company came out earlier that day and told them that they would remove the tree with 30 men. I did a serious eye roll on that one.

Over  16,000 pounds?  There isn't enough men to move that palm tree.

The palm tree was removed and the feud ended peacefully. We planted a smaller, younger Canary Island Date palm in  better location so  this customer can enjoy the palm once more.

If you are looking for real knowledge and assistance, call Gregory Palm Farms today.

Smiles

Homeowners Beware!!

When shopping for palm trees, especially Canary Island Date Palms, BUYER BEWARE!

Unfortunately, in the palm tree business there are a lot of ""brokers" that have very little or no experience in growing, trimming, transporting or installing Canary Island Palm Trees. They usually contract with homeowners to pay them for the removal of their palm trees. Once the broker has the tree under contract, they start advertising that they have "Canary Island Palm Trees" for sale at a bargain price.

Most of these brokers are NOT certified nursery growers or contractors, so they are not familiar with removing and installing these types of trees. Because Canary Island Palms are very susceptible to Fusarium wilt disease which is highly contagious and will eventually kill the tree, most brokers don't know how to identify this disease in a tree and end up selling infected trees to unsuspecting homeowners.

At Gregory Palm Farms, we are certified growers and licensed contractors, so we stand behind our trees with a 100% guarantee. THE PALM GROWER WITH OVER 40 YEARS EXPERIENCE!

Our trees are all checked and we go to great lengths to make sure our trees are disease free.

We are in the process of installing 6 Canary Palm Trees in Del Mar, CA. of which two of the 6 trees are replacements for bad trees sold and installed by a broker that refused to stand behind their installation. Not only that, the trees they installed were less than acceptable grade trees.

Here are some pictures of the Canary Island Palm Trees being removed, tied up and loaded on the truck for shipment to the install location.

If you are planning to install multiple Canary Island or other types of palm trees, call us today for a FREE consultation.
We
will come to your home or project site and help with the complete overall design and recommend the best trees for your installation. Call (714) 814-8525 to schedule an appointment today!
