Great when grouped as two to five plants, The Kentia Palms.A very graceful, solitary, medium sized palm, with a dark green ringed trunk, to about 10m tall. It has beautifully drooping, dark green leaflets, and a brown hessian like thatch around the leaf bases.The trunk is swollen at the base and has slightly raised annular trunk rings. It grows slowly and reaches between 40 to 60 feet in height.

Yesterday, a wonderful client from Long Beach came in to look at some King palms and ended up with something totally different. She was looking for something with a rich green color, like an evergreen. Some of the more tropical palms that she initially liked werent as vibrant as she thought, mainly beacuse of the hot summer weathering the palms.

We took a walk around the entire farm, scounting and searching for what she invisioned. The palms that caught her eye was the Mediteranean fan, Mexican, and the Sago. Other palms that stay evergreen are the Canary Island date palm, Reclinata palm, and the Pygmy date palm.

The Sago palm won her over and she was so excited for her new palms. She went with this Specimen Sago palm and another smaller sago. These palms are going to liven up the yard and give it a fresh new look!

Make sure to water the rootball down to its core. Get that sucker soaked in this heat! Do not wet palm fronds in this heat. The left over water left on palm fronds(leaves) will burn dry through the leaves.
