Gregory Palm Farms makes house calls because often times, the customer needs more assistance and clarity while we need to see access before the final details of the purchase is made. 

For example, we went to La Mesa's job and found the only efficient and safe way to install 6 Date Palms was up and over the house. That feature added about $2,500.00 to the purchase.

This situation is not the same! 

At La Mesa, the desired location is in the front yard  The planters are completed however with minimum cement curbing. And lasting, we are making sure the area is large enough to accommodate the palms of their choice and that is essential. They are and we will be install in a week! 

What to do now? First, We Call  DigAlert to make sure to hidden pipes we don't know about!

Next, We are prepping the palms, Medjool Dates and Triangle Palms, for delivery and installation.

How large does the hole for a giant palm need to be? A TRIPLE QUEEN PALM! A SPECIMEN PALM.

Check this out! The hole has to be slightly larger than the root ball! In this case, the root ball is 4 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet. So, the hole that we dug is 5 feet by 5 feet by 5 feet! The hole is larger to give those

precious roots room to grow and thrive as well as room for the clean washed sand. DON'T FORGET THE SAND!

HI!

We were in Yorba Linda this week changing out a Canary Island Date Palm. 

The owner had literally drowned the Canary Palm with his watering system. 

We corrected the irrigation.

We dug out the dying Canary Palm and secured it on our truck.

We Dug out the putrid soil and replaced with Clean Washed Sand.

THEN, we brought in the new Canary Palm! It's large, healthy and robust size was a perfect

fit for its new home.

The fronds will remain tied up for a couple of weeks for the palm to push roots.
