UTAH BOUND PALM TREES! BY GREGORY PALM FARMS (714) 814-8525 OUR PALM TREES CREATE YOUR OWN FIELD OF DREAMS LANDSCAPE

We had a customer come down all the way from Utah today to pick up some King palms and small date palms for their Shave ice business!! They wanted something tropical from Hawaii that would look exotic in the summer and provide shade. I know you are thinking... Utah?! It snows there and is cold in the winters! They picked King palms in 24'' and 30'' boxes that will be moved to an indoor nursery in the winter time to keep them nice and comfortable.

If you are looking for something tropical that is hardy and does well in the California area take a look at our Specimen King palms, Queen palms, Butia capitatas, Fishtail palms, Mediterranean fans, Canary's and more!!

Give us a call today to schedule and appointment to see your future palm trees!

Windmill Palm-Trachycarpus Fortunei - GREAT Northern California TREES TOO!

The Windmill palm makes a great accent which fits well into small areas like courtyards and entries. It is a tough plant and survives in both hot & cold urban landscapes and even thrives in Northern California and Washington climates.

Windmill palm is perfect for containers if care is taken that they are well drained. It is very attractive planted in groves and groupings especially when plants of different heights are staggered in irregular patterns.

Windmill Palm Characteristics

Stem/Trunk: Single stem that is 8-10" in diameter.Trunks are usually covered with a loose mat of coarse gray or brown fiber.

Exposure: Partial shade is best, also cold hardy

Soil: Well drained soil
Water: Adequate moisture makes for rapid growth and best appearance but it is amazingly drought tolerant

Growth Rate: Moderate - 30'-40' height

We are a family owned business, owner Burl Gregory. From the start, all of our palms have been grown in the rich California dirt for several decades. All of our palms are 100% guaranteed, we stand behind our product in any case. We are fourth generation farmers and know how to raise the best product in the palm tree market.

Brahea Edulis AT Gregory Palm Farms (714) 814-8525. EMAIL AT: GREGPALMS1@GMAIL.COM FOR ALL YOUR PALM FUN - OPEN DAILY

HI

Gregory Palm Farms carries many different types of palms including the Brahea Edulis. It is commonly known as the Guadalupe Fan Palm. Guadalupe Palms are a small fan palm growing to 30ft high with a highly fissured trunk 1-1/2 feet in diameter. The large fan-shaped leaves are a shiny green and usually have an indentation along the midrib. The Brahea Edulis needs full sun to partial shade and supplemental water to have the best results for a moderate growth rate. Like many other palms it requires well drained soil and its tolerant of cold weather.

Come by or give us a call for this and many more palms

Hi!

Gregory Palm Farms has many sizes of the Windmill palm also known as Trachycarpus Fortunei. The Windmill Palm is great for indoor and outdoor landscaping and can withstand hot and cold climates. They are easily identified with their "hairy" trunks. Those fibres insulates the tree during those extreme weather patterns.

It is a single trunk palm that can reach 8-10 feet when mature. All it needs is well drained soil, partial shade and adequate moisture!

Give us a call or come by our farms to this and many other palms!

Have a great day!
