Who ever said Queen Palms aka Syagrus Romanzoffiana, are not spectacular has not seen them in their glory. The palms they have seen probably came from Florida and do not do well here! Those Florida Queens typically are yellowed and thinner.
California Queen Palms are gorgeous with full feathery fronds and strong trunks! Check it out here at this huge Italian Villa called Villa Forano in Temescal Valley. We put these palms in years ago and they still are as breathtakingly beautiful today as when they were when they were first installed.
Queen palms? They are the royalty of the palm species. Queen Palms? They are drought resistant.
Queen Palms? They provide a beautiful feathery shade. Queen Palms? They will not destroy your flatwork.
Queen Palms? Yes, Queen Palms...her proper name is Syagrus Romanzoffiana and please say it with a flare in your voice!
