This morning we were at Loyola Marymount, Los Angeles delivering five giant (15') Canary
Island Date Palms. They were handling the installation of these beauties but we were there
to make sure the offloading was successful and the trees were not harmed.
FYI: It's best to use a Crane rather than a large tele handler. These Canary Palms are heavy! Each one probably weighed more than 15,000 pounds and if the tree needs to be placed any distance, it is a strain on the equipment if it is not suited for that size tree.

As we posted previously, we extracted this almost dead 18' Canary palm in Newport Coast to replace it with a Date Palm.
The rootball alone was 10,000 pounds. Do you have any idea what the whole Canary weighed?

WHAT IS A PALM CLUSTER?
A Palm cluster is a group of palms grown as one either by help from humans or by themselves.
In the case below, nature had a hand in it and we left them to grow beautifully!
