Pictured are The Mediterranean Fan Palm, Jelly Palm, Sago Palm and The Windmill Palm. They were pulled from our field at the farm and about to be loaded and shipped to So. Carolina. These palms all have a lot in common. They are all very drought resistant, cold hardy, have a slower growth rate, low maintenance and salt tolerant. These palms are among the hardiest.

WHAT IS THIS GIANT PALM?  This mammoth palm tree has been growing for over 80 years! 

Here's a hint. It's an extremely slow grower.

AND it is not a Canary Palm. The leaves are courser, shorter and stiffer than a Canary Palm. 

It's a Chilean Wine Palm. Personally, I have never seen one that tall. We have them in 3 to 5 feel of trunk but this is massive! WHAT A STATEMENT!
