The Windmill Palm is a very cold hardy palm indeed! They can withstand cold all the way down to 0 degrees! How are they so cold hardy? The tree has a thin trunk covered with hair like fibers to insulate them! They are hairy palms, I like to say. You can literally plant these anywhere even coastal! They are salt tolerant and fast growing! These are wonderful hardy palms! Come on down and see our Windmills at the Gregory Palm farms. Pick your palm and we can do the rest!

These palms all have a lot in common. They are all very drought resistant, cold hardy, have a slower growth rate, low maintenance and salt tolerant. These palms are among the hardiest.

Hi,
Come check out our Windmills! It’s Fall and winter will be here soon! woohoo! But what about palm trees and the cold weather? Guess what? There are actually a lot of palms that do okay and thrive with colder temperatures. Windmills are perfect for the colder temperatures so you can be confident that these babies will stand beautiful and bright through the colder days and frosty nights! They are the most cold hardy palms withstanding temps right down to 0 degrees!! Now of course here in Southern California we don’t worry about that but most palms can’t tolerated below 30! Is there any other palm tree you desire? Check out our palms, you are sure to find many amazing and unique palms right on the the farm where there are so many specimens growing on over 30 acres! See you soon!
