This very symmetrical plant supports a crown of shiny, dark green leaves on a thick shaggy trunk that is typically about 20 cm (7.9 in) in diameter, sometimes wider. The trunk is very low to subterranean in young plants, but lengthens above ground with age. It can grow into very old specimens with over 20 feet of trunk; however, the plant is very slow-growing and requires about 50–100 years to achieve this height. Trunks can branch multiple times, thus producing multiple heads of leaves

Good morning!

Well today I spoke to a few customers already asking about "Instant Landscape" palms. What that means is, when choosing your palm trees for your landscape people often want palms that are already somewhat mature and have looks of a tree that has been planted for a while. Usually if that is the case we will start with a 30'' box size and go up from there. Generally anything in a 30'' box has an approximate age of at least 8-12 years, therefore looking established. After that we go to 36',42'',48''...and on...there are just so many different sizes depending on the palm.

From past customers we have put in large 42''-72'' box Mediteranean fan palms, 36'' -48'' king palms, Large 42''-48'' box Majesty's, 30''-36'' box Triangles, Specimen Sago's,Queens,Dactyliferas, Butia Capitata's with a minumum of 5' of trunk and of coarse many large specimen Canary Island Date palms. There are many many more palm types and sizes to choose from to make your landscape 'instant" and uniquely different.

Butia Capitata aka Jelly Palm

This palm is native to Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay

The Jelly Palm produces ripe fruit that are  yellowish/orange in color. The taste is a mixture of pineapple, apricot, and vanilla. It is tart and sweet at the same time.

It has blue green feather palm pinnate leaves that arch inwards towards a thick stout trunk. It is known as one of the hardiest feather palms.

What size hole does one have to dig to remove a 9' Canary weighing almost 9,000 pounds?

It'a a 7 X 7 foot hole! So, on the replant side, a 9 X 9 foot hole for piping and sand for installation.
