I have had a few inquiries about the Windmill Palm...aka Trachycarpus fortunei! 

I call them our "hairy" palms. Why? They have a hairy-type trunk. It insulates them from the extreme hot and cold. They are an unusual palm with a "windmill" type head.

What size are you looking for???

We have them!

We have them in all sizes. They line Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach... close to Pacific Coast Highway. They are lovely by themselves or teamed with other palms and plants.

This Windmill is ten feet tall ... probably taller actually. See the trunk? It's really unique. Only the Windmill palm has it.

HE TURNED THE PALM WITH THE ROOT BALL SIDE FIRST in the front of the house, SLOWLY AND GENTLY DRUG IT THROUGH THE SIDE YARD  with the guys guiding the head/fronds,

 MANEUVERING ROUND THE CEMENT OF THE POOL (He covered it with 2 layers of plywood- all over and all around!),  RESET AND REWRAPPED THE PALM HALF WAY TO TIP IT UP,  MOVED THE STRAP UP AS FAR AS HE COULD, THEN ...

GOT IT UP REASONABLY STRAIGHT, INCHED IT NEXT TO THE HOLE ....

THE CLEAN WASHED SAND (pictured in the foreground) PILE WILL BE USED TO SECURE THE PALM IN THE HOLE!

The Job in Irvine was a wonderful success and despite all the equipment;
large telehandler, small telehandler and the bobcat,
the two big rigs with 20' trailers,
the 16 sheets of plywood,
the dump and a half of sand,
four 15' (really 16' but who's measuring!) Phoenix Dactyliferas Date Palms,
four men
and one Hino truck,
             the job is done, cleaned up as if we were never there!! 

Now, that's a job well done! We even hosed down the area for the next phase!!!
