With every problem landscape, there is a cure! It's Gregory Palm Farms doing the practically impossible, possible.
The customer had some dead trees, as it turned out... it wasn't Fusarium Wilt or Beetles. Again, it was lack of drainage and the Canary Palm drowned.
We repaired the problem and planted new trees. Now the customer has a dark shadow over Canary Palms that doesn't need to be there.

We were called out to remove a dying Canary palm in Newport Coast. The customer was sure it was fusarium Wilt.
IT WASN'T.
After digging half the morning to start the removal process, 8 feet down was a broken sprinkler pipe. This beautiful tree had been sitting in putrid water for who knows how long. The water had pooled not draining properly. If the tree had air pipes, this disaster could have been saved.
The slow agonising death of this Canary Palm was from neglect. Each Palm tells a story. They tell you what is wrong. NOT all dying Canary Palms are from Fusarium Wilt. It seems like a catch phrase.
Just a suggestion, before you diagnose the cause, it would have paid to do a little bit of investigation. This 18' premium Canary Island Date Palm didn't have to die.

I HAD TO POST THIS BLOG BECAUSE KEVIN GREGORY, OUR MASTER GENIUS, DEVISED A PLAN TO MOVE THE CUSTOMER'S SHED. IT WAS IN THE WRONG LOCATION AFTER THEY HAD THE POOL INSTALLED.
WE WERE GETTING READY A NEW CANARY PALM FOR INSTALLATION, WHEN THE CUSTOMER CALLED ABOUT HIS SHED. KEVIN ROSE TO THE CHALLENGE. HE MADE BRACES FOR THE BOTTOM, HOISTED IT UP WHILE KEEPING IT LEVEL AND TOGETHER, WITH OUR GIANT TELEHANDLER, WE MOVED THAT SHED.
IS THE CUSTOMER EXCITED?? YOU BET! GREAT JOB KEVIN!! OUR STAR OF THE WEEK AND THE MONTH.
GREGORY PALM FARMS GOES UP AND ABOVE (LITERALLY) TO GET THE JOB DONE. SO, NOT ONLY DID WE INSTALL HIS PALM TREES, WE SAVED HIS SHED AND MOVED IT TO IT'S NEW HOME ACROSS THE YARD.

The palms are growing by the second it seems with all this rain we had! They are enjoying the rain water pushing new roots and full heads of leaves for the season. Palm trees love the heat, and they also love water.. make sure to always keep your palms well watered and have good drainage during that time as well.
