The Windmill Palm is a great cold tolerant Palm example! This is a very cold hardy palm indeed because they can withstand the cold all the way down to 0 degrees! How are they so cold hardy? The tree has a thin trunk covered with hair like fibers to insulate them! They are hairy palms, I like to say. You can literally plant these anywhere, even coastal!
