The palm trees have different values and that is dependent on the size and the variety. You must also consider your location; cold temps, dessert, coastal, wet lands?
The basic cost for a 15 gallon palm tree can be anywhere between $25.00 to $150.00. If you are looking for a taller tree, or a multiple trunk tree, that all cost into account on the final price.
You must ask yourself, "Am I installing it?" Are you paying a landscaper to install the palm trees?
A food for thought, even though there are amazing landscapers available, the best installation is actually from the palm farm you purchase it through. Why? They are knowledgeable from the root up, literally. The size of the root ball, how many fronds remain for the health of the trees, how deep the hole needs to be, how the palm tree will be installed; tractor, by hand. So, you can see there are many elements in purchasing a new palm tree.
Let's make it easy for you! PICK YOU PALM TREE, WE INSTALL IT AND THERE YOU GO!Call Gregory Palm Farms (714) 814-8525/760)975-4605 and let's talk about what is most important to you.
The palm pictured above us is such a blue beauty! Gregory Palm Farms presents the Mexican Blue known also by its scientific name Brahea Armata. The Mexican Blue Palm is a famous hardy blue palm from Mexico. It has stiff, fan shaped leaves of a stunning pale blue color. It does great in a conservatory, or sunny spot in the garden. It needs well drained soil, does not require a lot of water and it can withstand -10ºC or so when larger. It is much happier, and faster growing when planted in the ground and can grow up to around 40 feet.

If your Looking to add more color to your garden consider palms! How so? you might ask? Here’s a few that are more unique in color than others. All these palms will brighten and enhance your landscape with a beautiful tropical getaway vibe. These five palms stand out with the most color to me. First up is The Triangle palm. The trunk has a beautiful reddish Orange velvety color and produces beautiful flowers. Second, the king palm and its unique trunk of lime green at the crown. The King Palm also produces purple and white flowers seasonally. The Mexican Blue Palm has a very blue hue especially in contrast with the typical green of the other palms and landscape backdrop. The Jelly palm and the Date palm are also known for their bluish-green fronds. The edible date bearing palms are vibrant in color as their fruit grows and ripens. You can find so much color contrast in the trunk, fronds, flowers and fruit! So How about palms to bring color and vibrancy to your landscape?

Hi!
Canary Island Date Palms, aka Pineapple trees, aka Canaries, aka AWESOME TREES!
These robust palms are incredibly beautiful!
You can keep them that way easily with love and care!
WHEN THEY LOOK SICKLY WITH FRONDS THAT ARE BROWN, THAT'S NORMALLY WHEN THEY GET ATTENTION!
TREAT YOUR CANARY PALMS SEMI-ANNUALLY TO INSURE THEIR GOOD HEALTH!
OUR CANARY SAVER!
During a transplant, make sure to keep them watered, everyday! It is crucial for the three month in order for them to push new roots.
For trimming and shaping, they must have a CLEAN OR NEW CHAIN FOR THE CHAIN SAW.
ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!
By cleaning the chain with a mixture of bleach, that solution kills any fungus or disease that might transfer to the palms
A maintenance on these trees is also crucial. We come out 3 to 4 times a year with vitamins, fungicides, hormone treatment and a check of the general health of the tree.
Call us today for your inspection and an evaluation!
Keep your Canary Island Date Palm robust and gorgeous!
Here’s some landscape snapshots of our recent install at a home in Dana Point! All the palm Specimens pictured have been growing for a long time on our farm earning them the specimen title. Their height and multiple trunks make these palms a specimen. Do you love what you see? Are you looking for that established look for your landscape? Come pick your palm! We have so many beautiful palm specimens on our farm in Pauma Valley to see and to love.
LOOKING FOR AN INCREDIBLE VALUE AND PRODUCT? GREGORY PALM FARMS
What type of root system does a palm tree have?
Palm trees have ‘ fibrous root system.’ The roots of the Palm are not deeply rooted in the soil. Their root system is typically about six feet deep but have tendrils that spread out from there. Those tendrils are the reason the palms don't blow over in a high wind!
The roots spread over the soil like a mat and penetrate nearly 36 inches of topsoil and farther. We can even see these roots if the tree is planted in shallow soil.
Ever wonder why the roots are part of the trunk in some palms? It is an indication that the roots have hit bottom so to speak. If you are in a housing tract, the roots could hit the hard pan. The air roots don't hurt the palm, it is their way of growing when the bottom portion is limited! Pretty smart, right!
Palm tree roots have a preference for sandy soil which makes them easier to uproot.
If you have clay or rocky soil, dig a larger hole for installation for the root ball and fill it with a combination of sand and soil.

Hi!
We blog a lot about specimen palms however, maybe you don't really understand the term...
Canary Palm
Sago Palm
Giant Butia Jelly palm
Above are only a few! A Specimen Palm is a palm or a groupings of palms that have grown together or in a special way or the heigh and caliber is rare.
For example, a 'hurricane' palm look is a specimen that was pushed down when young and has grown upwards since then. This method creates a curved trunk, which by the way, are wonderful accents around pools or an area where you want a palm but they have to grow away from a structure.
Another example is of a 'cluster' of palms that normally don't cluster naturally. We have these in Washingtonia Robustas, Queen Palms, King Palms, Date Palms and believe it or not, in Canary Island Date palms as well! They give the landscape a dramatic and full accent.
One more example of a specimen is the height! A giant Canary Island Date palm or Washingtonia Robusta to match existing palms or for a parking structure like the ones we put in Irvine Spectrum are specimen palms! Those Washingtonias were 45 feet tall!
I hope this has been helpful! It's so much fun having the variations to play with in your garden. Check us out! The specimens are incredible!
