All the old fronds hanging down were removed as well as a few over his head.

Next, he treated the Canary with our famous Canary Saver to ensure a healthy transplant.

The final stage, the pineapple cut trunk. A messy but necessary job to ensure the health of the tree!

WHY PINEAPPLE CUT A CANARY? (It looks like a diamond cut but that is a different process for the Phoenix  Dactylifera Date Palm.)

It actually helps the tree grow more efficiently. When the outer dead matter is removed, the tree can breathe. The mass that is removed is normally stinky, bug infested and rotten. It's only a matter of time that the aged fronds warp the trunk and the health of the tree.
