ON THE LEFT, Phoenix Dactylifera Date Palm - thinner head of fronds and the fronds are straighter.

While ON THE RIGHT, the Medjool Date Palm- fuller head with slightly curved fronds. The color is almost the same with the Medjool having a tint more blue.

One of the finest of the dwarf palms, Pygmy Date Palm slowly reaches 6 to 12 feet in height and has an upright or curving, single trunk topped with a dense, full crown of gracefully arching, three-foot-long leaves. Have you heard of the pony tail palm or Elephants foot palm? They are very slow growing, require very little water and make unique beautiful potted palms for indoors with the added benefit of natural air purification. Yes, palm plants help clean our air in our homes. Kentia Palms and pigmy palms also do great indoors given their slow growth rate. They thrive well with just indoor light and lower humidity.
