They taste like a woodsy apricot. I make palm jelly for us and is  a great gift.

But that's not all. The Pindo palm is robust and beautiful. Their blue-ish green, curly fronds make this palm tree a graceful addition to any landscape design... while bearing yummy fruit!!!

It's formal name: Butia Capitata

Just for your information, this tree is NOT a fast growing tree. It's drought resistant and hearty. 

It's my favorite! A palm tree that bears delicious fruit while providing shade, ambiance and beauty.

These blue beauties do much better in the ground but they can be put in boxes for landscaping in partial shade to full sun.

THERE IS A WAY WITH GREGORY PALM FARMS. THIS WAS A TOUGH INSTALLATION JOB WITH THE SIDE OF THE YARD OR A ROUGH ROAD, CAVING INTO THE NEIGHBOR'S YARD.

WHAT DID WE DO? WE SHORED UP THE LAND WITH ROCKS AND MADE A RETAINER WALL OF SORTS TO MAKE THE ROAD MORE PACKED DOWN. WE DROVE THE BIG TELEHANDLER WITH A 10,000 POUND CANARY VERY SLOWLY TO THE BACK FOR INSTALLATION.

NOW, THEY HAVE A PAIR OF GORGEOUS CANARY PALMS AS A BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP TO THEIR POOL.
