WHAT ARE THE TWO TYPES OF LOOKS FOR A CANARY PALMS?
The first look is the close trimmed version with a pineapple top.
Unfortunately, when one leaves the trunk un-skinned, the canary's short fronds begin to deteriorate and cause moisture and bugs to get in. As seen in the video below.

Nope, the trees are too young and it would be bad for the health of the trees.
So, once the trees grown 4 to 5' more feet, it will be the size necessary for the pineapple.

Grand palms and small palms, Gregory Palm Farms has them all! From giants like the Canary Island Palms to smaller ones like the Pygmy Date Palms. If you like palms but dont have much space for some of the larger specimens, you can always go with the Pygmy Date Palms also known as Phoenix Roebelenii. The Pygmy Date Palm has a small stature, delicate lacy appearance and easy care making it an exceptional palm that everyone can enjoy whether in the landscape or indoor containers.
Pygmy Date Palm excels in containers of all kinds. Also looks great by patios and entry ways. Use clumps of these palms as specimens and to serve as focal point in a mass planting of annuals. Also nice combined with evergreen shrubs in a mixed hedge. It can be in bright sun to partial shade and needs adequate moisture. The Pygmy Date Palm growth rate is slow and can reach heights of 8'-10'.
