What is a three tiered landscape plan? 

The three tiered plan has to do with the layering of heights to your area of planting. (Foreground, middle ground and back ground. So, for example, the tall trees or brush would go in the back ground with medium sized in the middle ground and short or low vegetation in the foreground. This process makes your planting area fuller with more dimensions. The groupings work well when planting items in odd numbers such as three or five. 

Think of this planting plan as a cake! The top layer small, middle larger and the bottom big! 

How do Palm trees relate to this three tiered design?

The Palm trees would be the back gound layering and even the middle. 

Here, the Mediterranean Fan Palm, in different stages of trunks, creates the back ground and middle ground landscape! Two for one! 

Palms are a great back drop for succulents as well because water is always an issue.

Here we are in Temecula, the crew is installing the giant palms and it's a great day! 

Thank goodness for our JCB Telehandler because without it, we could not lift these incredible trees with ease and precision. One can always rent equipment but have you ever rented equipment before? Ugh!

If you spend just a little time in nature, there are all sorts of magic moments. AND, lots to see!

I was sitting waiting for the big rig with a load of palms and in the Lantana flowers, there were

dozens of Hummingbirds darting about, talking to each other and collecting food. A real marvel!

Do you know what Hummingbirds represent? 

"To some, sighting a hummingbird signals that challenging times are over and healing can begin. To others, these tiny fliers are an inspiring sign of hope and good luck. Hummingbirds also can have a spiritual significance and mean the spirit of a loved one is near."

Before we recommend any product, we try it first! 

The lighting is no exception. So, we used solar lights purchased at Home Depot to see if they would really work. With the spike that came with the light, we planted them right next to the Queen palms shining up the trunk.  Last night, the tree was a glow! 

The cost was inexpensive and the best part was we won't use any electricity!

So, finish off your palm landscape with lighting and solar is a great option!

Hi!

 After  days of pouring rain, we finally have some sun here at the farm!

We're off to a bust start this morning! Getting all of

 our equipment clean and ready to go.

 

All this rain had the farm turn into a huge mudslide!

Lots of rain was needed in California and

 we're glad our palms were able to feast 

from all the rain and get plenty of water 

they need.
