Mexican Fan Palms soar to over 100 ft. This skyscraper of the palm world is a striking sight when planted at equal intervals along a boulevard or when snuggled up in groups against high rise buildings.
Use the Mexican Fan Palm for formal groupings, street plantings, and groves in large open areas - these are the palms planted along Venice Beach and other California beaches. Young plants can be grown in containers and give a tropical look to patios and decks.
Mexican Fan Palm Characteristics:
Stem/Trunk: Long and slender, single trunk, wider at base. Dead fronds persist to form a 'skirt'
Exposure: Full sun, wind, heat, and cold
Soil: Any
Water: Low water needs
Growth Rate: Fast growth rate, 60' - 100' in height
Its unique arrangement of blue green leaves gives a bold and formal appearance.
Our beautiful field of Triangle palms at our farm in Pauma Valley!

We Recommend waiting at least a month for the roots to grow and establish themselves before untying. Keeping fronds tied protects from high winds and is a huge important factor in helping the fronds retain that crucial water as they need a lot of it after transplant.
We are here any time by appointment and open weekends!
