Hi!
WHAT IS SCHEDULE 40 IRRIGATION PIPES AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The schedule 40 OR BETTER is a white in color PVC pipe. This pipe is designed to handle low water pressure. Low water pressure is normal for traditional homes. Having or purchasing anything less quality is a problem waiting to happen. Schedule 80 is grey in color with thicker walls and can handle higher water pressures. The grey is used here at the farm because our pressure is huge.
Irrigation is BEFORE YOUR Hardscape. If your hardscape is going over plumbing, make a schematic plan so you know where everything is in case of leaks or repairs. FOR YOUR IRRIGATION, PLEASE USE SCHEDULE 40 (480 PSI) OR BETTER. You will love yourself for it later. Your irrigation must be thought through completely with drip lines considered as a good option.
We recently completed a landscape makeover on a relatively new home. The biggest pain in the you know what was their cheap irrigation pipes installed by the contractor that broke constantly. We ended up replacing most of their pipes
