HOW DOES A GRADE A CANARY ISLAND DATE PALM, TURN INTO A GRADE D?
It's really simple. Whoever trimmed the Canary was unprofessional and careless. When they trimmed the Canary's trunk, they dug too deep with either a chainsaw or cutting blade into the trunk's fiber as shown in the video below. Basically, hacking rather than trimming. They did not keep with the line of the width of the trunk while working their way up to the crown.
