Did you know Canaries can grow up to 50-60ft high? That's a BIG Palm! Luckily they are very slow growing so they are perfect for any landscape, home or commercial.

In our backyard...
Grows our Palm of The Day, the Mediterranean Fan Palm or Chamaerops humilis. This species is native to Europe and is one of the only palms that grows naturally that far north! 
The Med Palms fruits are eaten in Morocco, the heart, or palmito,
is consumed in Spain and young suckers are eaten cooked in Italy.
Look at those leaves!!! Med Palms leaves have a long petiole terminating in a rounded fan of about 10-20 leaflets.
